Position Summary:
The Apprentice Electrician will assist and learn from our experienced electricians, gaining hands-on experience and knowledge in electrical installations, maintenance, and repair tasks. This position offers a robust apprenticeship program, providing the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become a licensed electrician.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist journeyman electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Learn and apply the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local code requirements in all aspects of work.
Use a variety of tools and equipment to measure, cut, bend, and install electrical conduit and wiring.
Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and components.
Attend and actively participate in training classes and apprenticeship courses.
Follow all safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Enrollment in or willingness to enroll in an accredited apprenticeship program.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems and a strong desire to learn.
Good manual dexterity, physical fitness, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
